I'm new using camsurveillance... After I install camsurveillance, I want to Add New Camera, but I don't know my camera name. I'm using Windows XP. I have try to look properties of my webcam, it written "USB PC Camera (ZS0211)". I Have try that name, even I try to write "ZS0211", but it doesn't work!!! How I can find my camera name? |

Hello, you have not to insert the camera name, but the URL to the camera picture. Your camera is a webcam and not a network camera, so your camera has NO URL to the picture. CamSurveillance doesn't support webcams. Please try CamUniversal. Download and install the program and then "add a new camera"! Look here for adding a webcam: http://www.crazypixels.com/fs1.htm |

Thanks, it's work... Now I use cam universal. But I still have some problem. I just have one webcam, but I want to detect 2 different motion area to excecute 2 different program (I want to detect my window and my computer seperatly in one webcam). I have try to "add new camera" 2 times for the same webcam. But cam universal can't detect the same camera. Do you have a solution? |

In general you can add a webcam only once to a program. But you can - use the integrated video network to send the image of the camera (look here http://www.crazypixels.com/fs6.htm) Run the video network server and client both togehter. So you can add a remotecam which is your webcam. In this case you have 2 cameras running. The original webcam and the remotecam. - or install a filter which multiplies your camera (look here viewtopic.php?f=8&t=127) |
